Service Fees for 2025
Please see below for our Service Fees for 2025, Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
Service Fees + Cancellation Policy
Emerald Tree is a full fee-paying, time-billing practice. In addition to your therapy sessions, time spent on services such as team meetings, email or phone correspondence, assessments, report writing, and consultations with employers, schools, or other healthcare providers may also incur fees if required.
We kindly remind all clients of our cancellation policy. To avoid being charged the full session fee, we require at least two full business days' notice (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for any cancellations. For NDIS participants, in line with NDIS guidelines, five business days' notice is required to avoid incurring the full session fee.
At Emerald Tree, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all. We have a firm no-bullying and no-aggression policy. Our team is here to support your mental health and wellbeing, and we will not tolerate aggressive behaviour or disputes regarding professional fees and requirements. As strong advocates for safe, respectful communities, any acts of aggression, stalking, or harassment — whether in-person, online, or through social media — will be taken seriously and reported. Please note that clients who engage in such behaviour may forfeit their confidentiality agreement.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a positive and safe environment for all.
Will My Private Health Insurance Contribute to Costs?
Private health insurance rebates depend on your therapist, the service provided, and your individual health fund. Please note that not all therapists, services, or concerns are covered. We encourage you to check directly with your health fund to confirm your eligibility.
Many of our clients have found good coverage with Bupa, Teachers Health, UniHealth, and La Trobe Health.
Can I Access Bulk Billing at Emerald Tree?
We do not bulk-bill Medicare referrals. There will be out-of-pocket expenses for GP referrals.
We require pre-payment upon booking.
Does Medicare Safety Net Apply?
If you have a referral, your costs may contribute to the Medicare Safety Net. Once you reach the threshold, your Medicare rebate increases, reducing your out-of-pocket expenses.
Medicare does not cover relationship counselling, but no referral is needed to access our relationship support services. Many clients choose to book directly with us.
For detailed information about the Medicare Safety Net, please contact your local Medicare office.
